Vision: Game of Parts Interactive Campaign

The Challenge

Vision, in partnership with Bluegrasscoms, needed a creative and engaging promotional campaign to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to their website. The brief was to create an interactive experience that would educate users on Vision's role in supplying genuine vehicle parts, ultimately growing their contact database and encouraging sign-ups.

The Solution

To meet this challenge, I designed and developed "Game of Parts"—an interactive music game inspired by the well-known "Game of Thrones" series. The campaign's core purpose was to make a complex topic, like vehicle part supply, accessible and fun.

The user journey was carefully crafted to be both educational and entertaining:

  1. User Choice: The game begins with the user selecting a vehicle manufacturer that partners with Vision, along with a location.

  2. Interactive Gameplay: Users play a simple, yet engaging, music-based game. The design was made to be fully responsive and touch-enabled, ensuring a seamless experience on both desktop and mobile devices.

  3. Educational Outcome: At the end of the game, a key statistic is revealed, showing the user the volume of genuine parts supplied by Vision from their chosen vehicle manufacturer.

  4. Engagement: Users could then add their score to a public leaderboard, fostering competition and encouraging repeat play.

My Role & Creative Process

As the lead creative on this project, I was involved in every stage, from conceptualisation to final delivery. This included:

  • Conceptualisation & Prototyping: Translating the brief into a clear and compelling game concept.

  • Design & Illustration: Developing all visual assets, including custom illustrations and web design.

  • Web Development & Animation: Building the game using HTML and CSS, and creating animations (including GIFs) to bring the game to life.

  • Music Production: Creating an interactive soundtrack to enhance the gameplay experience.

The campaign successfully increased brand awareness and drove significant traffic, with Creative Pool publishing an article about the project and a review of the game's success.
